From December until March Scallops are in season on the coast of Maine. Brought in daily to our market these are the best Scallops available at any point in the year. Can be eaten as Sushi or cooked anyway you desire.
A firm white flesh with a sweet flavor. Approx 10-20/lb. Sold by the pound.
Can be baked, broiled, pan fried, or any way you choose. Very versatile and lends itself to different styles and cuisines. For best results do not over cook! They become tough and chewy. Cook 1-2 minutes on a side leaving the middle slightly translucent.
These are fresh Scallops so can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. If you do not plan on using them right away freeze them for up to 6 months.
